About the project The Mole and The Queen
Our project aims to introduce, to realize and value new imported ideas that can increase our schools quality. We would like to develop better social integration
to improve the quality of the teaching, the didactic, methodologies and the scholastic management. Moreover we feel that the comparative approach is very useful as each of our partners´ school has a great potential to teach the others.
Moreover the chosen topics based on short stories will show our children that there are some universal, common themes shared within all the community. We want to show that there are certain principles the men should agree on.
According the database there are more than 52 short stories about The Mole (Krtecek) so it will be the task for each of the school to choose those suitable for their children and matching the curriculum needs.
The chess is supposed to balanced the fairytale point of view and the rationality of the modern world.
Apart from what is written above is important to explain to our children and also parental community that each partner / country represents a unique mixture of culture, language, historical events which can be an inspiration for others.
Objectives of the partnership
To introduce children to the language, culture and stories of children in partner countries.
To improve children’s self esteem by sharing and appreciating their own work and that of children in other countries.
To stimulate communication skills in the child, emphasizing listening and speaking skills through the use of songs, poems, nursery rhymes, and games.
Children actively help to plan, select, problem-solve and evaluate during the project.
An area in each school will be set aside for displaying maps, flags, photographs and examples of project work.
Through ICT to improve skills of communication through teachers sharing ideas and examples of good practice.
Staff, parents and the wider community will have an increased knowledge and appreciation of other cultures.
Teacher contact and mobilities will promote professional development and increase self-confidence. There will occur an exchange of ideas and methods from each culture.
All participants will share in the enjoyment of learning in a practical way about other cultures
and children.
To improve awareness of and the benefits of Comenius through the use of parents’ newsletter and the local media.
The projects aims to develop children’s awareness of themselves as protagonists of the stories they have chose to participate, as well as sharing in common stories with children from other countries.
